TED Declares Cities 2.0 Winner—Do They Mean MESH Cities?

TED Prize

It was clever to declare Cities 2.0 as winners of the 2012 TED Prize. But don't think for a moment that their choice was in any way ironic or even cynical. The masthead announcement says it all: We, I mean the world's people, need this. Our cities have to be more efficient and accommodating if only because with half of the globe's seven billion inhabitants now living in cities we'd better get the model right. That's why we are inviting people everywhere to contribute to MESH Cities. The urban agglomerations we call cities need your help. They require bottom-up and top-down tweaking in order to make it to the end of this century. MESHCities.com is a worthy place to begin.
