Robert Ouellette, the founder of MESH Cities, received the My Cities My Brand "Founder's Award" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has advised global leaders on the financial and social benefits of smart building retrofits at Think Green Global Forum in Nanjing, China. Working with risk mitigation expert Dr. Ron Dembo, he directed the Zeroprize international building reskinning competition in partnership with the World Urban Forum. He was a respondent at the U.N. New York’s Sustainable Cities conference, is a recipient of the City of Toronto's Urban Design Award, and is the former Director of the University of Toronto's Information Technology Design Centre. A Gold Medalist in Architecture and Urban Design, he also holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. The National Post nominated Robert for a National Newspaper Award, Canada's Pulitzer.
